To edit existing users click on the Master’s menu>Users> here select a user you want to edit and click on the edit button.
Here you can change user code and user name. You can also change the password by clicking on the “change password button”
Once you are done editing the user, click on the update button and click on exit.
You can delete a user by simply selecting the portfolio you wish to delete and click on the delete button.

To create a new portfolio click on file menu>New portfolio> you can also usekeyboard shortcuts keys “CTRL+N”> here search the script you wish to create
As soon as you select a portfolio all other required fields will be filled with defaultvalues, you can change the value as per your desire, you can change the expirydate for your portfolio.
Click on ok, you’ll see a popup saying “portfolio has been created successfully”click on ok.

To apply day reduce settings manually click on settings in menu > system settings > click on the checkbox “ use day reduce in fraction” and save the settings.
Now click on the tools menu > day reduce > You can also use keyboard shortcutkeys “F12” > “a day reduce tool” pop up will be opened.
Enter the value in the text box and click on Apply to all portfolios.
Your day reduce settings will be saved.

For automatic day reduce click on the settings menu > system settings > upload> automatic day reduce settings > (Check-in) use automatic day reduce settings > click on show and save button.
Here you can change the start and end time of auto upload. You can set the time interval in minutes, select the effect i.e increment or decrement > you can clickthe show button to view the effect of the time interval you have set in details. You can select the trade segment i.e FO/cm or currency. once you are done editing click on the save and save the setting form.
Note: while using automatic day reduce, you cannot manually update Day reduce settings i.e “F12” key will be disabled.

To apply upload settings click on the settings menu > click on multiple file upload settings > a file settings window will open > click on new > now enter the file path i.e folder’s path where your trades files are stored.
Now enter the prefix and postfix of the file > apply the date settings > select the file type.
You can also preview the file path and your filename
Now click on the save button and click on ok >Then click on save upload settings and click on ok and close the window.
Your file upload settings will be saved.

To apply automatic file upload settings >You can click on the “clock icon” in the top right corner of the talk delta application screen > once you click on it a popup will appear “switched to auto uploading” click on ok.
You can switch back to manual uploading by simply clicking on the clock icon again.
You can also apply automatic file upload setting by clicking on the settings menu > click on system settings > click on upload tab > In upload system working > click on Automated radio button > you can set the time interval too > click on save and close the form.

The contract security and cd contract files has to be in your talk delta applications file location.
Now open talk delta application’s login page > you can see links such as contract file upload / security file upload / cd contract file upload > click on the links given
A status window will open > click on upload > your file will be uploaded here, you can close the window once it reaches the end time.
Repeat this step to upload the other files
Once you have uploaded the files > enter the login credentials and click on ok.

To modify a portfolio > click on the file menu > click on modify portfolio > a modify portfolio window will open > Kindly read the note specified here.
Here Double click on the portfolio you want to modify > Once you have selected the portfolio.
you can change the expiry date of the portfolio, you can change the token no, you can enable spot price,
Now click on the update button to save the changes.
you can also delete a portfolio by clicking on the delete button. and close the window.

Before compacting databases always remember to take a backup of your delta .mdb file.
Click on the database menu > click on monthly data backup, a monthly data backup will open >
here select the month and click on the go button to take a backup of the selected month and click on the backup button you can see the status bar, once backup is completed a popup will appear saying monthly database backup has been successful.
Repeat the same steps for all the months you want to take backup and close the form.
Now click on the database menu > click on the compact database. A popup will appear saying Database has been compacted successfully. Click on ok and check your positions.

To view track of your trades click on trade trail icon, you can also view trade trail by pressing ALT+T

A trade trail window will open, select the category and click on ok.
A trade track window will open. First, select Type (Option, Future or Cash) Next select call/put and strike value if it’s an option. If you want to view trade for any particular date; then check on “Date wise” then select the desired date you can view your hand entries by checking on “show hand entries” and then click on the “Go” button.

To enable spot rate click on the Masters menu > click on Script > A script master window will open > in search by script name text box write portfolio’s name i.e nifty > select the portfolio > once you select portfolio, all required fields will be filled automatically now write spot name i.e NIFTY50 in capital letters > and click on update and close the window.
Now click on the file menu > click on Modify portfolio > click on script > select a portfolio eg here I’m selecting nifty > click on Enable spot rate > click on update and close.
Now click on the Tools menu > and click on update spot name.
Spot name will be enabled.

To carry forward equity > First, create the portfolio manually in which you want to carry forward equity > Now Keep your system date as the expiry date. Click on the File menu > click on Open portfolio select the portfolio in which you wish to carry forward equity.
Now Click on the settings menu > click on carry forward equity > a carry forward process popup will appear to click on ok to continue.
Close the form, change the system date to the present date and check. [For all the portfolio's you need to follow this]

[Note: Always keep the closeout date as the expiry date of the month]

To perform closeout > First Copy the delta.mdb file and paste it in the talk delta access setup folder itself(Just in case we lose our data).
Now Upload FO/EQ bhavcopy in talk delta access setup folder
Run the closeout exe >Connect to EQ bhav copy>Add the EQ bhav copy file. The rate will be shown.
Follow the same steps for FO i.e Connect to FO bhav copy > Add FO bhavcopy file > Save closeout.
Open Talk delta application > and press CtrlR. Your Position will be shown.
Now click on Database menu > then click on show closeout backup > click on Ok.
